Organized at Pulaski, Tenn., January 3, 1864. Attached to Garrison of Pulaski, Tenn., Dept. Tennessee, to June, 1864.
Garrison duty at Pulaski and Athens and as guard to Railroads in Northern Alabama until June, 1864. Designation changed to 111th U.S. Colored Troops June 25, 1864.
