The company was variously styled as Companies F and D, 1st (Fitzgerald's) Confederate Light Artillery Regiment, which did not complete its organization in early 1862.
Reorganized on March 20, 1862.
Armed with one 3-inch Rifle, one 12-lb. Howitzer, and three 6-lb. Smoothbores on September 17, 1862.
Goochland Artillery Battery and Campbell "Long Island" Artillery Battery disbanded and men assigned to this company on October 4, 1862, per S.O. #209, Headquarters, Army of Northern Virginia.
Battery reorganized again on October 9, 1862.
Armed with two 3-inch Rifles and two 10-lb. Parrotts on July 1-3, 1863.
Armed with two 12-lb. Howitzers on December 26, 1864.
Surrendered at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865.
