The North Carolinians were transferred to Company D, 12th Light Artillery Battalion, on October 13, 1863, per S.O. #243, Adjutant and Inspector General's Office.
Armed with four guns on June 30, 1864.
Armed with three 12-lb. Napoleons and one 12-lb. Howitzer on December 28, 1864.
Surrendered at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865.
