Organized for one year in Louis County on August 19, 1861.
Armed with two 3-inch Rifles, one 12-lb. Howitzer, and three 6-lb. Smoothbores in August and September 1862.
Some members of the Campbell "Long Island" Artillery Battery transferred to this battery when that unit was disbanded on October 4, 1862, per S.O. #209, Headquarters, Army of Northern Virginia.
Armed with four 12-lb. Napoleans on July 1-3, 1863.
Apparently merged into the batteries of Cutshaw's Artillery Battery in November 1864.
Surrendered at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865.
