Assigned as Company C, 12th Artillery Battalion, on May 15, 1862, per S.O. #112, Adjutant and Inspector Generla's Office.
Regained its independent status during the late summer of 1862.
Armed with one 3-inch Rifle, one 12-lb. Howitzer, and one 6-lb. Smoothbore in August and September 1862.
Men from the disbanded Wise Artillery Battery transferred to this battery on October 4, 1862, per S.O. #209, Headquarters, Army of Northern Virginia.
Armed with four 12-lb. Napoleans from July 1, 1863, to December 28, 1864,
Surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Virginia on April 9, 1865.
